Calling all SUPERHEROES! Exciting news for all participants—this year we are going head to head with Regina in an event we call: Saskatoon vs. Regina.  The Challenge Is On!

We have been doing our Drop Zone YXE rappel off Carlton Tower, downtown Saskatoon, for the past 10+ years and this year we thought our Superheroes needed a change of scenery.  And we’ve brought that in a BIG way! We are bringing our superheroes to the tall, mirrored, 20 TALL stories Hill Tower II in Regina!

And we are going in style.  There will be two comfy, cozy charter busses leaving the morning and afternoon to bring our Superheroes to the tower for their specific rappel times.

Once we get to the base of the breathtaking Hill Tower II in Regina, there will be a total party atmosphere to revel in until it’s our Superheroes turn to make their decent.

There will be a DJ on site, food trucks, restaurants, a Farmer’s Market, pizza supplied by Boston Pizza, snacks and other refreshments supplied by Safeway and all the super-stoked spectators you can handle!

Once our Superheroes have completed their feat of bravery there will be Party Busses at 2 separate intervals to take them back to Saskatoon.  With snacks and beverages (adult and non-so-adult) for all.  Games and mayhem will ensue.

It’s sure to be a day to remember for our participants and a bucket-list challenge crossed off for another year.

Fundraising Structure

Solo SUPERHEORES must be committed to raising $1,000 to rappel event day. Sign up as a team this year and fundraise together! The team captain raises $1,000, the co-captain raises $850, and each additional teammate raises $700!

Fundraising can be a key element in your enjoyment.  Getting your community, friends, coworkers and family involved at various fundraising events you hold will increase the fun atmosphere this event creates.  And boy do we have ideas for you.  Follow us on Facebook for our awesome ideas and please feel to contact us directly if you need some help with your event.  Remember, if given the right amount of notice, are even happy to attend.  From raffles, to steak nights, lemonade stands to garage sales, we are behind you every step pf the way.  And you would be blown-over at how easy it is to exceed your fundraising minimums.

We also have an amazing opportunity for all Superheroes to partake in that will help them raise money for the rappel.  We have teamed up with WestJet Airlines to offer a raffle for 2 flights anywhere in Canada for the winning entrant.  Our Superheroes will sell these tickets for $10 apiece to their network with the full $10 from every ticket sold going towards their fundraising total!

Training Information

All SUPERHEROES will be provided expert training and information sessions locally, offering tips and tricks to help you succeed in your fundraising goal and ensure you are in full SUPERHERO rappel mode on event day. Training is provided and supervised by an amazing expert team, TACTEN – professionals who rappel in real life and death situations all around the world.

WestJet Raffle

We have teamed up with WestJet to bring our Superheroes (YOU!) a super easy and fun way to raise money and get closer to their fundraising goals.

We are offering a raffle for TWO TICKETS to anywhere WestJet flies, the raffle tickets for which we are giving to all our Drop Zone participants to sell.

Tickets are $10 each and participants get to keep the whole amount to put towards their fundraising totals.

Once you register for Drop Zone, contact us at events@abilitiescouncil.sk.ca to get your first 40 tickets.  Sell those to your friends and family or the public at one of your other fundraising events (steak night, garage sale, etc.) and you are almost half way to your goal!  What’s not to love about that?
